Carol has been very active from a young age and is an outdoor enthusiast spending a lot of time biking and hiking. She was first introduced to Bikram yoga by a friend who knew she would enjoy the physical challenge. Carol has been practicing since February 2002 and then after 2 years of consistent practice she went to the Spring 2004 teacher training. In September 2006, a bicycle accident put Carol’s life on hold but yoga got her through it. Carol maintained her practice and found her body to be completely transformed, healed, and healthier. She views teaching as a great privilege since she gets to share the gift of a powerful practice and is able to inspire her students to become a better yogi. As some who likes a challenge, Carol’s favourite posture is standing head to knee. It combines strength, flexibility, and endurance for a full 60 seconds. Knowing you finished this posture strong is always a great reward. Her least favourite posture is full locust since it requires a lot of spinal flexibility to stay in the posture and is the posture she needs the most. Carol delivers a strong class as she focuses on discipline and encouraging students to have to correct form for each posture. Her classes will have you working hard, sweating a lot, and feeling really good after class. When she isn’t teacher or practicing, Carol is still staying active. She likes to spend her time biking, hiking, hitting the gym, and just spending time outdoors. |
